To use wireless interface in VMWare, edit /etc/vmware/locations. Find the lines
answer VNET0INTERFACE eth0
remove_answer VNET_0_INTERFACE
answer VNET_0_INTERFACE eth
change all eth0 to eth1 (the wireless interface).
