Free software in Human Rights Works

11.50am was suppose to be my flight to Bohol for the first public beta test of cpu-developed Human Rights Monitoring System. We have developed it to help local human rights workers document the increasing attack to members of different progressive organizations in the country.

This our second free software development project. The hours spent were all voluntary involvement of our members.

We are calling the project as karapatan monitor. ln a few days, we will make it available at www.cp-unior.org.

We started brainstorming fo this software more than three years ago. We were consulted back then for the system design and feasibility of implementation.

We hope that interests will be generated for enhancements of this software.

We were on the plane by 4pm. This is the way Cebu Pacific put to life their "Its time every Juan fly"
